New Brand Identity Unveiled

Reflecting the credible historic neighborhood that is in the process of being transformed, the illustrative Wright-Dunbar Business District logo highlights several of the significant buildings on West Third Street and uses bright accent colors to represent the fresh breathe of life of the community in transition. The logotype “Wright-Dunbar” is formed from authentic signatures from the records of the neighborhood’s namesakes celebrating the visions of three of its most famous residents. The positioning statement, “Live the Legacy” exclaims the positive activity happening today and bright visions of tomorrow for this neighborhood rich in heritage.

2009 Walk of Fame Inductees Announced

Since its inception in 1996 as a part of the City of Daytons bicentennial celebration, over 115 individuals have been recognized on the Miami Valley’s Walk of Fame for their outstanding and enduring personal or professional contributions to the community, nation and the world.

Five new honorees took their place in history alongside other Miami Valley greats, such as Orville and Wilbur Wright, Paul Laurence Dunbar, Charles Kettering, and James Cox on September 24, 2009. Wright Dunbar, Inc. proudly announced the 2009 Walk of Fame inductees as Vincent Apple Groby, Lucinda Williams Adams, Reverend DeSoto Bass, Carl Day, and Laverne Sci.
