National Award Commends the Wolf Creek Neighborhood and ISUS
Improved Solutions for Urban Systems, Inc. known as ISUS, received the "Gold Award" from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for its work in the Wolf Creek neighborhood. The Wolf Creek neighborhood is directly north of the Wright-Dunbar Business Village and has long been involved in revitalization efforts of the area.

Since 2000, ISUS has been acquiring and rehabilitating properties in the Wolf Creek Neighborhood. They are in the process of building and rehabilitating 70 homes in the neighborhood, primarily in the area of Broadway, First, Sweetman and Dakota Streets.

This prestigious award was "judged by a distinguished panel of judges form a broad range of disciplines and expertise that includes builders, interior designers, planners and federal government officials," said Mel Martinez, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The development follows the City's Urban Design Standards and works together with other revitalization projects in the area.
