Dedication of the Wright Family HomeHawthorne Dedication
Visitors to the Wright Dunbar Business Village can now explore an interpretive representation of the Wright Family Home at the corner of 7 Hawthorne and Fourth Streets.

The original home was moved by Henry Ford to Dearborn, Michigan in the 1930s. The site at 7 Hawthorne now features an outline of the original house with interpretive signage explaining the rooms and creativity within its walls. The porch that characterizes the original home was rebuilt featuring a bronze bicycle leaning against the wrought iron fence. Donated by the John Bosch family, the bicycle was unveiled as part of the dedication. This effort was led by the Dayton Aviation Heritage Commission with help from the City of Dayton, Wilcon, Jones Technologies and Scott Art Casting.
