Area High School Juniors Get Excited About Urban Revitalization
Dayton area students learned about urban revitalization and the exciting opportunities in the Wright-Dunbar Business District at the History and Current Issues/Media Day, a program designed for the Junior Leadership Dayton Program. Sponsored by the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce and the YMCA of Greater Dayton, the program brings together 55 high school juniors from 15 high schools to develop communication and community leadership skills. This particular session focused on developing an appreciation for the Miami Valley's unique history and diversity. More
John Moore, Executive Director for Wright-Dunbar, Inc, presented information to the Junior Leadership Dayton group along with representatives from the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park, Inventing Flight, and the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.
"The students were very enthusiastic about neighborhood revitalization and the activity occurring in the Wright-Dunbar Village," said John Moore.
Moore is exploring the possibility of involving the Junior Leadership Dayton youth along with other student groups in the activities of Wright-Dunbar, Inc.
