Wright Dunbar Market Days and Time Flies are coming back to the Wright-Dunbar Business Village in June

Awarded "Best Special Event" by Downtown Ohio, Inc.,
Wright-Dunbar Market Days is back for its 3rd year as the festival
celebrating revitalization in the Wright-Dunbar Business Village.

Wright-Dunbar Market Days will occur Saturday, June 26, 2004 and is sponsored by The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, Sinclair Community College and Premier Health Partners in addition to other sponsors. This year's festival will feature:

'Time Flies'- the lively living history program returns the Wright-Dunbar Village June 25-27. Step back in time to experience Dayton, Ohio in 1904, and learn of Wilbur and Orville Wright's important progress in unraveling the mysteries of practical flight. Experience the creativity of Paul Laurence Dunbar as his poetry and prose are brought to life. Tap your toes to the animiated vaudeville performers from 'Rhythm and Shoes.' Admission to 'Time Flies' performances is free.

Free parking is available at the Zion Cultural Center on Edwin C. Moses and also at the Conover Street parking lot at the corner of Conover and Second Streets. A free shuttle will regularly run between these locations, the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center and the Paul Laurence Dunbar State Memorial.

K12 Gallery for Young People: returning for a second year, artists from the K12 Gallery will work with children in a "Make and Take" art tent. This popular activity encourages young artists to design and create their very own parachutes and/or kites to take home for further inspiration.

Musical Celebration: the smooth sounds of 'Touch' will headline the festival in addition to Dayton favorites: Khalid Moss, Cop'rz Band, Keith Leak & DWC and Larry Lee & Back in the Day.

Food and Fun: this family friendly festival will feature a variety of foods, a moonwalk, fast pitch, balloonists, and other games in addition to unique shopping.

Wright-Dunbar Market Days is made possible through sponsorships from the Reynolds and Reynolds Company Foundation, Sinclair Community College, Premier Health Partners, Kettering Medical Center, Vectren Foundation, National Composite Center and Fifth Third Bank.
