Don't Miss Urban Nights in the Wright Dunbar Village- Friday, October 14th

The Wright-Dunbar Business Village is the place to enjoy local art and celebrate fall. Come and enjoy live music, community art displays, and live art demonstrations on Friday, October 14th from 5:00pm-10:00pm. Admission is free and the event takes place in several venues along W. Third Street between Williams and Broadway in the historic Wright-Dunbar Business Village.

"Urban Nights in the spring was such a tremendous success in the Wright-Dunbar Village, we're happy to bring it back by popular demand. We're also excited to celebrate and welcome a new business to the Village- the PriMed Physicians Group," Paula Cosby, Community Relations Coordinator for Wright Dunbar, Inc.

Live Entertainment:
David Simpson and Poppa Crush will groove from 6:00pm-10:00pm, featuring your favorite sounds from blues, jazz and old school R&B. Guests will be able to relax in an outdoor café, the Grillin' and Chillin' Café (located under a tent in the 5th Cycle Shop lot) and enjoy the live music, meal specials and cold beverages. Following the event, Smokin' Joes Café will feature an evening of poetry and jazz.

Art Exhibits:
Enjoy the work of Willis 'Bing' Davis and other local artists in a display of community art at the historic H&H building and the EbonNia Art Gallery. Art pieces from community artists will be featured in an area that is the largest art display space in Dayton outside of the Dayton Art Institute. Witness art-in-progress as artists demonstrate their techniques through different media.

Open Houses:
Many of the businesses located in the Village will be open and will provide customer specials, including: Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park, In His Image. . . Christian Bookstore, Safari Interiors, and Subway Sandwiches. Guests can also tour the newly renovated offices of the PriMed Physicians.

Parking:
Plenty of free parking is available in and around the Wright-Dunbar Village. Free trolleys will run continuously between downtown and the Wright-Dunbar Business Village throughout the course of the evening. Urban Nights in the Village is presented in concert with the Downtown Dayton Partnership 'Urban Nights' event.
