Walk of Fame

Since 1996, the Walk of Fame has recognized people from the Miami Valley who have made outstanding contributions to the community, nation and world. Wright Dunbar, Inc. is pleased to host this year's Walk of Fame ceremony honoring the 2004 class of inductees: George Cooper, Barrett Green, Clark Haines, John and William Sherman, and Jean Woodhull.

The inductees will be honored at a public ceremony on September 23, at 10:00 am in the Wright-Dunbar plaza of the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park (corner of Third and Williams St.). A luncheon honoring current and previous Walk of Fame inductees will follow at the Ponitz Sinclair Center, Sinclair Community College.

The public ceremony is free and open to the general public. Luncheon tickets are $25, and may be purchased by calling Wright Dunbar, Inc. at 443.0249.

The Walk of Fame, previously installed near the baggage claim in the Dayton International Airport, is now housed in the Wright-Dunbar Business Village, along the very sidewalks of West Third Street traveled by the Wright Brothers and Paul Laurence Dunbar at the turn of the century.
