Historic Name: "Gem City Ice Cream" Building

The right center bay housed the first Wright cycle shop in 1892. A series of additions have been wrapped around the site. The Wrights soon moved the cycle shop to 1034 West Third Street before beginning their printing and bicycle businesses together at 22 South Williams Street in 1895. Gem City Ice Cream was the first manufactured ice cream in Dayton.
