Community & Business Involvement

It is key to engage the members of the community in order to fully  revitalize and transform the Wright Dunbar District.  These efforts will also bring a sense of pride to the residents.  The following are examples of several programs aimed at attracting individuals to assist in the transformation of the District.

Wright-Dunbar Ambassador Volunteer Program

Wright Dunbar, Inc.’s Volunteer Ambassador Program is designed to provide an opportunity for the public to be involved with the organization in several ways. Individuals serve as ‘ambassadors,’ helping to achieve the various program goals and to communicate to the broader community the efforts of Wright Dunbar, Inc. Greater Wright-Dunbar Business Association (GWDBA)

The greater Wright-Dunbar Business Association is a member’s group for businesses, associations and non-profit organizations located in the Greater Wright-Dunbar Area. The general purpose of the GWDBA is to share information; create opportunities to engage the public; and to coordinate special promotions for the community, including an annual community open house.

2010 Calendar of Public Programs & Events and E-Newsletter

The Wright Dunbar Calendar of Events displays events and programs open to the public. From time to time a flyer may be attached to the listing for the public to further market the information.
